These generally aren’t endgame items at all. So if you see green gloves drop in d2, you know exactly what stats are on them. The only difference is they contain none of the randomness in stats that d3 has. Green items are set items just like they are in diablo 3. My goal is to start a discussion that will hopefully dispel this myth that RNG is a corner stone to itemization in the diablo genre. I tried to keep this short so there may be a lot of what about this or that item. I’m going to introduce some of the many item types, quickly discuss how randomly or non-randomly the stats are generated, and provide 1-2 examples that I believe do well in representing the item group as a whole. I’m here to argue otherwise by presenting a sample of some d2 items, and discussing how non randomly the stats are generated to those that may have never played the game before, but also to remind most likely haven’t played it in close to a decade. ![]() I feel that among the developers, and the community randomness is a cornerstone of how itemization should be because randomness is an integral piece to the genre. ![]() ![]() Last updated at 14:00:17 UTC Weekly Help Desk RAGE Loot Thread Trade Thread
